Good Day Plumbing LLC has always been a family owned business. I started my plumbing career in California back in the 1980s. I started working for a family friend who owned a plumbing company. Within a few years, I got my master plumber license and bought the company. I ran my plumbing company with my wife in CA until our moved to Hawaii in 2003. After starting and running another successful plumbing company, now in Hawaii, we got interested in the process of repairing pipes with epoxy lining. So in 2008, we became the Hawaii franchise for Ace Duraflo, which had a process to epoxy line water pipe systems. Shortly after, we started working with lining sewer piping as well. We then became Permaliner's recommended installer for sewer pipe lining in the state. Feeling the direction of the company had shifted, we started the company, Hawaii Pipe Restoration, designed to be a pipe restoration company specializing in sewer and water line rehabilitation. We would spend the next 8 years working for companies like the Hyatt, Marriott resorts, St Regis, the US Navy, Federal government, well known high rise companies in Waikiki, and several private condo resorts on Maui, Big Island and Oahu, as well as our home island of Kauai. In 2015, we would make the decision to leave the islands and move back to the mainland. Finding ourselves in Texas, we started another pipe restoration company called Countrywide Pipe Restoration. Shortly after starting Countrywide, we would be doing sewer pipe restoration work in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, New Mexico and even as far as the island of St. Thomas . We worked with companies such as Albertsons, Sears, Kmart, Whataburger, The city of Waco, The Austin sewer treatment plant, as well as several private home owners from Oklahoma to Galveston. We did all kinds of drain line pipe restoration. We even lined a shark tank in Texas and saved a Kmart on St. Thomas from having to close down after a hurricane wiped out their building, potentially causing the store to close and costing hundreds of people to lose their jobs. This would have caused a hardship to all the locals as well since it was the only large department store on the island. It was a very humbling opportunity to see the way the islanders came together during that tragic time and us being a part of the healing. Shortly after we returned from St. Thomas, we would find out we would be losing one of our biggest clients due to the company filing bankruptcy. Their decision to file, and not being able to pay Countrywide the monies they owed for work completed, would force us to close our doors and regroup. In 2019 we would find ourselves back in the pipe restoration business starting a large drain cleaning & sewer lining company with some partners in Dallas. We became the top installers in the area. Our crews were doing two to three liners a week, mostly residential projects, due to the age of many homes in the metroplex. The hard grinding it took building the business, and the long daily drives to and from the city, took its toll on me and landed me in the hospital with some heart issues. The process took a while but healing came. At the doctors recommendation, my wife and I left the craziness of big business in the city and went back to our smaller family owned business. So in January of 2022, we, along with our son who has been working by my side for years now, started Good Day Plumbing LLC. We are now better suited to pace ourselves to grow at a more even pace and give each of our customers the attention they deserve. In all the years we have been installing sewer lining, only one product has stood up to our high standards and that is PermaLiner Industries. Our crews have installed hundreds of thousands of feet of Permaliner product with no issues. My wife and I are now partners with our son also, and as a family run company, we can guarantee each of our customers will receive the highest quality and best experience in the industry.
